The sun seems to be trying so hard to pierce the blanket of cloud that consistently hangs over Vancouver. Most days it fails – according to Vancouver Weather Stats, it’s rained 24 days so far this year and it promises to rain again today (https://vancouver.weatherstats.ca/charts/count_rain-yearly.html).

So as I sit and look out at mountains and sunsets at the end of the day, I do get to catch the very brief moments when the cloud cover thins just enough for the sun to glow through, letting those of us who desperately need it know “I’m still up here”.
I’m very grateful for these small, momentary glimpses of sun.
